About three years ago, KAUSER PARVEEN started her own business by opening a secondary school close to her home in Manzoor Colony. The enrolment is currently 300 and growing fast. “It makes me happy to see that more people are sending their kids to school,” says Kauser of the recent increase in numbers. However, in order to accommodate more pupils, Kauser needed to increase the size of her premises and took a loan of Rs 50,000 from Tameer so that she could build an additional floor. “Construction work is ongoing and very expensive – I will need more money soon,” says Kauser. She live close to the school with her mother.
