Working girl SHAZIA BEGUM took a loan of Rs 25,000 from Tameer in October 2006 in order to give her two year old beauty parlour a much needed face-lift. With the loan, Shazia had her salon painted, decorated and refurbished and although quite small, it is comfortable and well done up. “With this new look, I am getting more customers,” says Shazia with a smile.

She heard about Tameer through a friend and was “shocked at how quickly and painlessly I got this loan.” In future she would like to get a bigger space for her parlour.

She lives with her parents in Korangi.
