ASIF KHAN tailors shervanis for children from home and has run this business for the past 13 – 14 years.

Until recently, Asif used a traditional hand sewing machine to make the shervanis, his output was low and he only worked on orders. When he took a loan of Rs 50,000 from Tameer in July 2006, the first thing he did was to go out and buy two electric sewing machines.

His output has now grown tremendously, he sells his produce to various outlets around the city and he and his wife are very grateful to the bank “Your bank is giving loans to people who want to do well and progress and make something out of their lives. We are very grateful to Tameer and pray for its success.” He plans to open his own shop in the future.

Asif lives in North Karachi with his wife and three children.
