Safia Mumtaz Ansari
Branch Manager - Liaquatabad Branch, Karachi
Safia graduated in 2005, from Premier College
Karachi with a Bachelors in Commerce. Prior to
joining Tameer, she was an Assistant Accountant

to become a banker.
On her daily commute from work, she noticed the
Qazzafi Chowk Branch being established and t~k a
chance and applied.
"The Quaid trusted the youth, and after him
Tameer is the first institution that trusted the
youth. It is Tameer who encourages us to go
ahead and succeed."
After a year in the job, Safia feels that she
has learnt from the responsibility, trust and
opportunities given to her at Tameer. The
culture of working together has enabled her to
learn more than ever and earn recognition. |

Nizamuddin Basheer Ahmed
Operations Manager - Baldia Town Branch,
Karachi
Nizamuddin came to Karachi from Chitral to
study. He is a Bachelor of Commerce from the
Peshawar University and is currently studying at
Urdu College, Karachi in Masters evening
program.
His family had always supported him financially
for his education. However, Nizamuddin managed
to find odd jobs to help where he could, in
Karachi, he found a job-managing inventory in a
stationery shop on I.I. Chundrigar Road. He was
in the right place but wrong job. He wanted to
work in a bank. he applied at several and none
ever responded.
"Following a television advertisement of Tameer
Bank, I applied and got a call in one week! I
though my education was a burden for my parents
and their problems were a result of me, but now
that is in the past. I can comfortably support
my family and afford my education.
"I started as a Cash Officer at Qazzafi Chowk.
This bank gives you the opportunity to compete
and if you can, challanges keep coming your way.
It is not so difficult to explain what Tameer
has done. There is something I have learnt here
that will never leave me.
"Hum khud tarashtey hain manzil kay sang-e-meel,
hum woh nahien hain jin ko zamana bana gaya..."
"I read this verse posted at the reception area
of our branch when I first jined. This is Tameer
Bank." |

Sana Tabassum
Operations Manager - Malir Branch, Karachi
During the course of her study at Karachi
University. Sana decided that she wanted to be
in the Banking indutry. After graduating with a
Bachelors Degree in Commerce, she started
working in a tution center, responsible for
administrative tasks. However, in pursuit of her
dream she also searched the Sunday classified
hoping to find a banking opportuniy that did not
require experience, and to her dismay she found
none. Her father had encouraged and supported
her but she had almost given up until she
recognized a bank coming up in her neighbourhood
on television.
Sana joined Tameer as an Assistant Cash Officer.
She believes that the YDP is designed for this
generation that misses out just because they did
not have the 'right' experience. "It (Tameer)
brings fresh minds forward and teaches them what
other bankes don't." says Sana.
"With my first salay I treated my colleagues, we
are a team! and now I can support myself." Sana. |
